The white washed walls and rustic furnishings made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The common areas, such as the garden and veranda, were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. As a senior, I found the hotel to be very accessible and accommodating, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
I would have appreciated if there were more options for meals within walking distance. It would have been convenient for senior guests like myself to have a restaurant open in the village, rather than having to drive to nearby villages.

The owner's kindness, including making pancakes for our children, added a personal touch. The beautiful surroundings and hiking trails made for a perfect off-the-beaten-track vacation. Posada Del Castano is the perfect place to escape the city noise and enjoy the rustic charm of this small village. The wifi works well, which is great because there's nothing to do here. But don't worry, you can always drive for 15 km to visit a cave!

What a fantastic Easter getaway! We stumbled upon this hidden gem in a charming little town. The hotel was beautifully converted and had a wonderfully homely feel. The family who hosted us were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. We loved the lovely garden and the nicely decorated rooms. The location was perfect for exploring the area and going on scenic walks. Plus, we were allowed to use the kitchen to warm up our Easter feast, which was a great bonus!
While our stay was amazing, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The limited options for dining and shopping in the town were a bit disappointing, so we had to be mindful of that.

The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, with lovely decorative touches throughout. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great advice on hiking trails and activities in the area. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade pancakes, jams, and honey. I also appreciated the use of the kitchen to warm up food during the holidays.

What a treat to stay in this rustic guesthouse in the middle of nowhere! The Sierra Aracena Natural Park is stunning, and the guesthouse has all the rustic charm you could hope for. Plus, free wifi - because even when you're off the grid, you gotta post those vacation pics.
Who needs a shower that fits tall people anyway? It's not like we want to feel clean and refreshed after a long hike in the mountains.

Hidden Gem in the Sierra Aracena Natural Park - Nestled in one of the prettiest villages in the park, this beautifully converted guesthouse retains all the rustic charm that typifies the region. It's like stepping into a time capsule, with narrow cobbled streets leading you to this hidden gem.
Limited Parking Availability - The streets in the village are narrow, and finding a suitable parking spot was a minor challenge at first.

I absolutely loved the charming and quaint decoration of this old property. The cozy atmosphere combined with the beautiful garden made me feel right at home. As a senior woman, I appreciate how accessible the hotel is, with easy access to the general areas and comfortable spaces for relaxation. The children working there were always ready to assist me with any needs or questions, making my stay even better.
While the children working there were helpful, I would have liked to see more amenities or activities specifically catered to senior guests.
